How We Generated Over 618,000 RON in Sales with a ROAS of 28 in February 2024

In this case study, we present a website in the gardening tools and equipment niche that we took over in September 2023. The site was new, with no prior history.

1. Setup

Before launching the campaigns, we ensured the product feed was optimized with the most relevant keywords. Tracking was implemented via Google Tag Manager, and eCommerce audiences were created in Google Analytics.

2. Pixel Training

To achieve these figures, we needed to train the pixel. Our approach included:

  • Standard Shopping Campaign: Utilized manual CPC to gather as many clicks as possible at the lowest cost.
  • DSA Campaign: Included 10 assets targeting the top 10 brands, with a strategy to maximize clicks. For example, targeting URLs containing specific brand names.
  • Performance Max (Assets Only): Ran with a small budget, excluding the feed, using only text and images, and a strategy to maximize conversions.
  • Performance Max (Feed Only): Included all products with a strategy to maximize conversion value.TwoAds

We concluded September 2023 with a ROAS of 13 and sales totaling 184,000 RON.

After four months of data collection—over 4,082,084 impressions and 70,000 clicks—in January 2024, we split the campaign into two Performance Max campaigns:

  • Top 15 Categories: Remained in the Performance Max campaign with data, using a feed-only approach and a strategy to maximize conversion value, allocating 80% of the available budget.
  • Remaining Categories: Grouped into another Performance Max campaign with a strategy to maximize conversions.

January concluded with sales of 3 million RON and a ROAS of 17.

4. February 2024 Results

In February, we added assets to the main campaign and eliminated underperforming products.

The month concluded with:

  • Sales: 618,099 RON
  • ROAS: 28.67
  • CPA: 44 RON
  • Conversions: 48

A satisfied client.

Conclusion

This is a fortunate case where the client had the budget and patience necessary to gather sufficient data, make informed decisions, and scale the account profitably.
